Position Title: Software QA Analyst

Job Purpose: Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software. Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing. This position will report to the Director of Software Engineering.

Nature of Duties:

• Running software test plans and analyzing results
• Preparation and modification of new and existing test plans and procedures
• Recording results of test plan execution and raising any issues to the software engineering team
• Hands on learning of new features and functionality in the software to be tested

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Engineering or a related field
• 2 years of related experience
• Must be a self starter able to complete tasks with little supervision
• Comfortable working in a typical lab environment
• Experience with IP, Networking, and Communication protocols is a plus
